Hallsten provided a wide gangway and low floating dock to facilitate the universities rowing program.
When the University of Notre Dame decided to build a new boathouse for their crew team, they also put out a request for proposals to investigate a new dock for launching their rowing shells. Our team at Hallsten developed and efficient module to stack and ship across the country at a reasonable price for the quality and drew up some proposal drawings. After winning the job, we designed a very user friendly system for installing the modules. We paid special attention to getting the gangway floatation correct, to keep the transition to the safe and easy to walk across without causing listing in either direction. On this Crew-Pro Dock system we installed cleats on the shore side of the dock for mooring, and kept the offshore edge clear of obstructions for easy access in and out of the rowing shells.
